GIScRG: Call for Sessions, RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2016

The Geographical Information Science Research Group (GIScRG) of the RGS-IBG would like to invite you to submit session proposals for next RGS-IBG annual international conference.

The conference will take place in London at the Society from Wednesday 31 August to Friday 2 September 2016 with workshops and opening events on Tuesday 30 August. The chair of the 2016 conference is Professor Peter Jackson (University of Sheffield). The conference theme is Nexus thinking and the full call for sessions can be found here.

Proposals for GIScRG sponsored sessions should include

  • The session title and abstract (max 300 words)

  • The name(s) and affiliation(s) of the session convenor(s)

  • The format the session (e.g. presented papers, panels, practitioner forums, discussions or workshops)

  • The number of timeslots required -  each timeslot lasts100 minutes (this can be divided up as the session convenor(s) choose, e.g. 5x20 minute presentations or 4x20 minute presentations leaving 20 minutes for discussion at the end)
